The following is only a sample of the comprehensive foot and ankle treatment available through our clinics.
Bunions
A bony prominence just behind the great toe joint, bunions can cause significant discomfort. Bunions are corrected surgically, involving state-of-the-art methods that enable patients to walk immediately following treatment. In addition to surgery, corrective methods can include shields, shoe modifications and alternative footwear.
Hammertoes
Smaller toes that bend at one or two joints (hammertoes) can be increasingly stiffened over time resulting in corns, discomfort, and hard-to-fit shoes. Appropriate surgical intervention is determined after a thorough assessment. Non-surgical treatment includes padding, physical therapy or shoe modifications.
Ingrown toenails
Oftentimes caused by excessive curvature of the nail borders resulting from thickening of the nail, improper cutting, injury or poor-fitting shoes. Pain, swelling and tenderness are common symptoms. We specialize in permanent correction of this common foot ailment using chemical applications. Recuperation time is minimal and the procedures are appropriate for a vast majority of patients.
Sports medicine
Problems or injuries of the foot and ankle related to sports injuries, stresses, strains and fractures require unique athletic training and treatment. We employ state-of-the-art foot and ankle care for professional and "weekend" athletes.
